This beautiful fir root tells the evolution of falling in love. The thin beginning of the sculpture is like the beginning of a lovestory First you show yourself closed, shy and inaccessible. One weighs, one hesitates, hovers between restraint and letting oneself fall to disappear in the maelstrom of love. The root becomes thicker and more diverse. In the same way this change happens and trust starts to grow while opening up. The root opens. The root opens. And just as the diversity of the human being with all its facets finally comes to light, one also sees more and more of the diverse structure of the wood. The varying colors and forms and the light, open places stand for the beauty and clarity of love. The dark, hidden parts of the root reflect the little bit of inadequacy that one retains despite the inner opening, one’s own vulnerability. Exactly this contrast gives the wood its depth.
Strength, Confidence, Security, Vulnerability, Tension.
