According to legend, the name Calista is derived from Callisto “the most beautiful”, a nymph who was the beloved of Zeus. Zeus impregnated the nymph and she gave birth to a son, whom she named Arkas. Zeus’ jealous wife, Hera, then turned Callisto into a bear who had to wander through the woods. Years later, Arkas meets his mother while hunting, without recognizing her. To prevent the murder of his mother, Zeus transfers both of them to the sky as the Great Bear and the Little Bear.
The attraction of Calista was as unique as this root. They are both so beautiful that you can not take your eyes off them. There is so much to discover in its special grain. The petrified wood carries many years and has become a fossil over time. Under normal circumstances, the wood would have decomposed long ago, but without oxygen, the wood has been preserved from decay.
