Bacchus – in Vino Veritas

Bacchus is the Roman god of fertility, ecstasy and wine. He has a positive and life-affirming image as well as a dark side, which embodies the part of intoxication. It is an early ripening grape variety, which is especially appreciated by winemakers in Great Britain and Germany for its early ripeness. Wines from this grape variety are often light and have low acidity. The ancient Celts believed that no one could lie effectively when drunk.
